Oversee and implement MS4 stormwater program, in capacity as MS4 Coordinator, by completing or coordinating work associated with program minimum control measures (MCM’s), including all required reporting.
Coordinates and provides training for new and existing city employees and contractors on the minimum control measures (MCM) of the MS4 program (IDDE, Pollution prevention and good housekeeping, etc) along with other stormwater programs as directed.
Prepares a variety of drafts and finished materials, which may include technical content and terminology related to the activities of the department, including materials for meetings, speeches, presentations, and agenda items from notes, brief instructions, prior drafts, or voice recording equipment; reviews and/or edits materials for completeness, accuracy, format, compliance with policies and procedures, and appropriate terminology.
Interacts and interfaces effectively with engineering department, sanitary board members, sanitary district employees, city department heads, as well as city employees, and works with members of the public to address complaints and concerns as directed.
Attends meetings and prepares agendas and minutes during normal and occasionally outside of normal business hours.
Performs administrative tasks and functions for the engineering department.
Assists with maintaining engineering department budgeting and accounting records using BS&A and other relevant software packages.
Monitors, organizes, and maintains physical and computer files for engineering department.
Researches information on the internet and in the electronic and hard copy files for government rules, regulations and codes, historical information and certified documents.
Answers telephone and receives office visitors, responding to inquiries, providing information and assistance, taking messages, schedules appointments, schedules special services, logs complaints, and directing calls/visitors to appropriate individual or department.
Prepares requisitions and ensures proper documentation and authorizations for both regular purchase orders and blanket purchase orders.
Performs various clerical duties, including sorting/distributing daily mail/packages, updating and maintaining phone extension database, typing correspondence, entering data onto computer, and compiling, scanning, copying, and filing various reports.
Supports records retention efforts by scanning and cataloguing engineering records, which could include historical documents requiring special handling.
Scans, copies, collates, binds, and distributes documents.
Creates and maintains data pertinent to the department using appropriate software packages including; but not limited to NASSCO, BS&A, ESRI GIS, MS Office Suite.
Evaluate and determine a PACP/MACP rating for sanitary district assets using CCTV files and other available data.
