Must have strong multi-tasking abilities. The ability to prioritize and divide attention between a wide varieties of changing events.
Answers telephone, determines nature of call, and routes caller to appropriate destination. Takes messages for officers, answers questions, and provides information to callers when appropriate.
Calls non-emergency calls over to dispatch.
Answers questions from public at information window and directs them to appropriate division or to an outside agency.
Processes and prepares various reports for officers and sends them to proper divisions.
Processes missing person’s reports, lost or stolen license plate reports, and parolee reports.
Processes and records alarm violations.
Handling of cash and credit card purchases of permits; appropriate entry of such in BS&A software system.
