Experience/Certification Required:
High school diploma or GED.
Working knowledge of standard office procedures
Excellent technology and computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. Experience with canva, social media, point of sale software, key system software and any other computer knowledge that can improve overall efficiencies of the department as a whole.
Excellent bookkeeping skills and ability to apply such knowledge to a variety of interrelated processes, tasks and operations.
Working knowledge of standard English grammar, spelling and punctuation, and ability to take dictation and prepare correspondence and written reports as required for Park Board or other Park Team Meetings as requested.
Ability to type with speed and accuracy and properly operate standard office equipment, including computer, calculator, typewriter, telephone, laminator, copier, scanner, fax machine, credit card machine and two-way radio.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, other City departments, Parks Board, vendors and the public, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.
Ability to provide public access to or maintain confidentiality of department information and records according to all state and local requirements.
Ability to comply with all employer and department policies and work rules, including, but not limited to, attendance, safety, drug-free workplace, and personal conduct.
Ability to file, post, mail materials and maintain accurate and organized records.
Ability to count, make simple arithmetic additions/subtractions and receive, receipt and record money while providing deposits and necessary credit card transactions daily.
Ability to understand, memorize, retain and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and with others in a team environment, often under time pressure, and on several tasks at the same time.
Ability to plan/layout assigned work projects and apply knowledge of people/locations
Ability to occasionally work extended, evening and/or weekend hours and occasionally travel out of town for training/workshops.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and demonstrated safe driving record.
